Since the dawn of creation, humankind has sought guidance and wisdom for their faith journey
Moses enlisted seventy-two elders to provide spiritual direction to the Israelites while they wandered n the dessert…the prophet Nathan directed Kind David…Elijah instructed Elisha…
and there isn’t a better example than Jesus and his disciples.
In the two thousand years since, clerics and commoners, sinners and saints have sought a friend…a spiritual companion…a mentor to walk alongside and impart wisdom…demand accountability…and provide companionship on their soul’s sacred journey.
While the merits of this ancient discipline are well documented, the task of finding and selecting a spiritual director can be challenging. Questions abound. How do I find someone? Do they need to be trained? Should they practice the same religion? Can I meet with them online? How much does it cost? What questions should I ask?
